Wish we could have you all worshiping with us. I can't wait for Sunday as we celebrate camp together in Main Services. Matt Lane (camp worship leader) will be leading along with some of the youth worship band.

Baptisms

Wow! We just got done with baptizing 36 students in the lake. We had tuns of parents make the trip out here to witness their children being baptized. It was a great time of watching students follow Christs example and command for us as believers to be baptized. It was a great celebration and example of just one sliver of all the awesome things God has done this week.

What an awesome day. Tons of fun and great convicting messages.

Internet has been down

AHHHHHHHH. Our Internet connection has been down the last two days. I was able to get on via dialing out on a cell phone through the computer to a satellite but now we are back up and running so be looking for more updates.

Last night recap

Last night Adrian gave one of his favorite messages titled bricks and sticks. The main point of the message was that sticks are like our sins and he created a visual using big sticks, actually small branches, that he put down his jeans. He compared every branch with a sin and continued to put more and more sticks in his pants explaining each and every sin along the way. Eventually he was preaching through a forest. (see pictures in video) He then explained that we need to get rid of our sins and he challenged each student to come and take a twig or branch from the stage and meditate on what sins God wanted them to rid themselves of and then drop the stick in one of the garbage cans in the front of the stage. It was a great night of repentance and salvation for all the students. Please continue to pray for our leaders and staff as they lead their family groups and have some of the biggest impact on the students on a daily basis.

Day 2

What a GREAT DAY!!!! And we haven't even had our evening rally yet! Awesome family groups in cabins the students are growing in their relationships with friends, leaders, and most importanly with Christ. Last night Adrian challenged students to stand and declare that the were no longer going to let their reputation hinder their relationship with Christ.

Monday update

Today was the first full day here at Island Lake. Thank you for your prayers for Adrian he arrived here today and after a brief nap is currently speaking. Pray for him for good rest and energy for tomorrow. Today we had great Middle School and High School chapels Dean did a great job teaching, we had great family group times, and are currently the middle of our evening rally.

We made it!

Just a quick update. We made it. Everyone is alive and doing well. We will be starting our evening rally in a few minutes. Here is a picture of the band practicing in the rally room. Be praying for Dean as he speaks tonight and for the leaders as they meet and get acquainted with their students.
